Meet the owner:

Hey guys! My name is Tyler. My first priority is my family and my next is sharing potential lifesaving skills I have learned while serving in the Air Force. I joined the military in 2009 as a jet engine mechanic. In 2016 I requested to retrain into a critically manned career field as a SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape) Specialist.

Becoming a SERE specialist taught me not only how to survive in any environment but also how to teach others to stay safe and survive with the limited resources they have. I have attended additional training and obtained various certifications including Static Line Jump Master and WFR (Wilderness First Responder).

I am motivated to teach civilians the lifesaving skills that I have accumulated over my career and to enable families to survive if a natural disaster occurs. Knowing the basics of starting a fire, collecting water, creating a shelter, or navigating to safety is critical to keeping your family safe.

Our Core Teachings

I specialize in training DOD assts who are at high risk of becoming isolated behind enemy lines to survive for long periods with minimal resources. I also offer an unclassified version for civilians who want to become sufficient in primitive survival.

Fire

s one of the most useful tools to survival. It can ward off predators, keep you warm, used to prepare meals, purify water, and a good signalling device if isolated.

Shelter

Your clothing is your first line of defense against the elements. And if you get wet you can succumb to exposure which is why you need a shelter to have a place to rest and dry out clothes. It can also be used as a safe space to plan your next destination.

Water

Without water an average person will die within 3 days. If it’s not coming out of a faucet you need to know what indicators there are to locate it, how to purify it and store it.

Navigation

If you are ever lost or without a vehicle you need to be able to understand your cardinal direction and be able to use a map and compass in order to travel.

Primitive Teachings Available:

Immediate shelter
Fire starting in any environment
Water indicators and purification
Basic compass navigation
Snaring
Food foraging
Knife sharpening
Emergency kit demonstration
And more!

Minimal Trail Gear

No one ever plans to get lost and in need of certain survival equipment but if you ever venture off the beaten path and lose your heading having just one of these items could mean the difference between you staying dying or using the item to find your way back to the trail so you can get home safe.

Desert

The desert can be a very harsh and unforgiving place but if you have the right tools you can survive long enough to travel to civilization or create a signal big enough for you to get recovered and get home safe. Having the right tools isn't enough to survive, you also need to know how to use them so make sure you do an operational check on all of your equipment.

Vehicle Emergency

This is a list of items one should always have in their vehicle because you never know when your main mode of transportation will break down leaving you stranded. Many people don’t think about what will happen if they break down and some have even died from not having something as simple as a car jack or water.

Testimonials

Tyler has taught me more about survival in a 10 min conversation than my endless hours of scouring youtube. Every time I have a question about knife sharpening, tent making, fire building, minimalistic hunting and fishing techniques, etc., he has been my ultimate tour guide for surviving the great outdoors.

Tyler is a great instructor and very knowledgeable. He made our time together really fun and I am excited to use these skills on upcoming hiking trips.
